This Earth day, (and all days) it’s super important to try keep sustainability at the heart of everything we do.

As an artist considering the sustainability of my work is a huge part of my practice. I am aware that the materials I use such as wood and plastic acrylics are recyclable, however most adhesives themselves are not recyclable, and that they can create problems when recycling products.

This is one of the main reasons I have decided to make the new collection made to order only, as a way to reduce waste and ensure my practice is as sustainable as possible.

In October last year I took part in Carbon Literacy training, and was later certified as Carbon Literate. 💜
This training was a huge step for me in understanding the Climate Crisis and how companies and individuals can work toward been carbon neutral. If you are a creative small business or company based in Leeds check out SAIL and keep an eye out for them offering their next free Carbon Literacy training session!

Mini update: The release of the new collection may be delayed slightly

I am yet to photograph the pieces as I had planned due to an accident involving a cliff, a rock and my head 🤪 I am still out of commission but will hopefully feel well enough later in the week to drive out somewhere beautiful for a lil photoshoot ✨📸.
