Exquisite Antique Edwardian Diamond 18ct White Gold `Daisy` Cluster Drop Earrings.
Genuine Antique pair dating from the Late Victorian / Edwardian period, circa 1890 - 1910, so rare to find today.
You are sure to be the `Belle of the ball` in these stunning drop earrings.
Fine quality earrings, each handmade with a diamond cluster and there is a diamond suspended above. The clusters consist of one large European cut diamond in the centre and 10 smaller old European cut diamonds arranged around the principal stone in a daisy cluster. The clusters have Shepards crooks which are also manufactured in 18ct white gold.
The diamonds are mounted in 18ct white gold and are held securely in place by claws.
We believe that the finest old European cut diamonds carry a unique character and charm, unparalleled against their modern counterparts.
Studying under magnification shows handcrafting and hand soldering; these miniature works of art need to be studied, and you need to know the manufacturing process to fully appreciate their character. A modern one would be cast in one piece, having little `definition` left after the casting process.
Sure to become a favourite `go-to` evening/drop pair, they really are a rare find, now looking for a new `forever home`.
The central old European cut diamond measures 4.4mm x 4.1mm. The outer diamonds measure 3.2mm in diameter.
Diamonds above the cluster measure 2.6mm in diameter.
Each earring has an estimate of 1.5 carat each.

Overall measurement of approx. 39.8mm x 12.5mm and 7.8mm in depth.
