Back in March, Daphne and Chris spent the day at the bench creating their wedding rings together ✨💍🥂
Their bands were handcrafted in 18ct red gold and 9ct white gold, each one shaped with care and intention ahead of their wedding this August.
They also shared the loveliest testimonial about their experience with us, which we’ll leave below for you all to read. 💛
"We wanted to do something meaningful for our wedding, and having already made silver rings in the past, we decided to make our wedding bands.
I looked around for workshops and decided to go for the Quarterworkshop as it was meaningful for me to have our wedding bands made in the Jewellery Quarter.
Through our back and forth correspondence on e-mail, Victoria was very helpful and patient. We even had an online consultation prior to the workshop to discuss what we wanted and what was possible. This proved very helpful in setting expectations on what our wedding bands would look like.
On the day of the workshop, we had the space all to ourselves and Victoria provided excellent instruction and help. We started off with copper and made rings, exploring different twists (I wanted mine to have a twist in the design). Once we were satisfied, we moved onto silver and then gold.
We opted to have our rings engraved with our fingerprints, and we're so excited to see the end result once completed. At the end of the workshop, we took home our silver rings, and the workshop actually overran by a few hours but we carried on as normal.
We didn't have lunch in between, but we were provided with biscuits, teas and coffees and even a glass of prosecco at the end! It was also nice not to have to worry about taking photos in between as Victoria kindly took photos for us.
Overall, we would highly recommend doing a workshop with the Quarterworkshop as it was an enjoyable and meaningful experience. Not only do you make memories while making wedding rings for each other, but you also get to say "I made you this ring..." during your vows."
