Well, Bearded Theory festival, that was a bit special! Five days of amazing music, amazing friends, with so many laughs, loads of sunshine, loads of dancing and loads of smiley, happy people! I'm back in the workshop/shop today though with my To-Do list! I'll be open usual hours all week, except Thursday when I'll be open until 8pm as part of JQ lates. Pop in if you're around.

A small, but perfectly formed selection of handmade recycled cards and crystals has appeared in the shop for your perusal! I love how this space is constantly evolving 😁

I know I've been quiet on here recently, but that doesn't mean that there hasn't been lots going on, quite the opposite in fact! One thing I'm delighted to tell you about is the feature that The Jewellery Quarter Bid have done on Star23. As part of their "Our Story Shines" section they have included Star23 in their showcase of independent businesses in the Jewellery Quarter. Anything you need to know about the Jewellery Quarter from it's history to it's Ale Trail is all on the website, it's a great resource for residents and visitors. These lovely ladies have spent the day in the workshop today learning how to measure, cut, solder, saw, pickle, file and polish copper and silver to make a pair of stacking rings. Look what they made! Absolutely beautiful! And we had tea, cakes and giggles along the way. An absolutely brilliant way to end my week, I'm closed again tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday as I'm off festivalling again. I'll be back in on Tuesday 🙏 get in touch if you fancy a jewellery experience. 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

Excuse the really rubbish photo, but I wanted to show you what one of my work experience students made yesterday. Lailah chose aquamarine, rose quartz, amethyst and fluorite beads to make a suncatcher window crystal. It's for sale amongst the other suncatchers in the window of the shop. Pop by and have a look. Packed up, drove home,unloaded and operation "dry everything out" has commenced!! It bucketed it down yesterday and things were a bit damp, so I'm giving them a good airing before I pack them away. Thank goodness it's dry today!!!! Now off to see my mum who was taken to hospital yesterday but thankfully has just come home again, it's been an eventful weekend! I'll post some of the pictures i took later. It was wonderful to be back in the fields seeing friendly, happy faces. Hope you've all had a wonderful bank holiday weekend 😀
