Two Junior Dukers under one roof! 🙌

Ralph and Wilfred are brothers, taking on two different levels of the Junior Duke at the same time! Supporting each other through their tasks, each brother recently earned an Outstanding Achievement for their work!

Wilfred is currently completing his Gold Junior Duke Award, earning himself an Outstanding Achievement for creating a fantastic knitted square for the Caring for Others challenge! This will make a great addition to a blanket in Africa, well done!

Ralph, who is completing his Bronze Junior Duke Award baked a delicious monkey bread for his family to share. A great way to bring the family together!

Dawn continues her sporting travels, this time heading to Split in support of her younger son Murray as he plays for the rugby GB 7s team in the Men’s 7s Championship Series. It’s been a summer of rugby for the family! 🏅

Are you going on holiday to another country this year? Why not take some time to research your holiday destination and put it into a PowerPoint for your family!

Archer the OUTSTANDING! 🌟

As one of our independent Junior Dukers, Archer is in a more unique position. Archer isn’t part of a class in a school who are all doing the Junior Duke, he does his challenges at home, with the encouragement of his parents.

Having the support network of friends or family is important, those positive words of encouragement go a long way in boosting a child’s confidence and getting them one step closer to earning their award! 🙌

The Junior Duke Award aims to give children independence from a young age, the confidence to take on any challenge that comes their way and the resilience to try again when things get tough.

It is an honour to be recognised for creating a positive impact among the young people who take part in the Junior Duke Award. Seeing the growth and development of the children year on year is a true testament to what the Award is all about. 🌟

A rockstar in the making! 🎸

When learning a new skill, it can be very easy to give up after the first few tries when we don’t see immediate results. However, with a positive mindset and a whole lot of practice, a new skill can flourish!

Eoin almost took a simpler route, developing skills he already had from hockey and football, but he’d always wanted to play the guitar… And lo and behold, he may be a natural! 🤘

Keep practicing, Eoin! We hope to see you on stage soon! 🙌

Strong physically and mentally… 💪

It can take a lot of perseverance to get into the habit of regular exercise. Paige can relate as she took on the Body Strength challenge for her Silver Junior Duke. ⬇️

“I have done some of the exercises before. I found that holding my body in the correct position was hard at first, but every week I got better. Some days I did have some muscle pain, but not every day. I feel really strong, and I think I now have a 6 pack. I think body strength is good for you, and I should keep doing it.”

However, once the habit is created, the rewards are great! Well done, Paige! 👏

Dawn is in Kutaisi, Georgia! 🇬🇪

Supporting her son while he plays for the Scotland U20s rugby team at the Junior World Championships, Dawn has been on some Junior Duke side-quests.

Invited by John, Dawn went to the American Development Centre summer school, where the children are currently learning English and who wanted to know more about the Junior Duke and Scotland! And what better way to get them in the spirit than the Scottish National Anthem! Well done to Dawn, who took the challenge on solo! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
