My mummy would sit me outside in the garden with sample books of material which I would then attempt to make into a patchwork quilt. It turned out to be the most atrocious thing you have ever seen , but i was only 4 lol. My parents were a huge influence on me infusing me with Celtic culture as well as teaching me numerous craft . The love of a hand created item, whether it was a bread baked by my
daddy or a new aran jumper knitted by my mummy, was much preferred to a mass produced item we could buy off the shelf. We toured Ireland a lot when I was younger and would seek out crafts people in the most remotest of areas. One lady we found spinning her own beautiful wool in the middle of a bog in Donegal.Well her house was in the middle and she was in her house - not actually sitting spinning in the middle of a bog as such :)
And so with this type of upbringing it was little surprise I opened my first craft business at the age of 18 making quilts and lots of little gift items. I have progressed through the years trying different crafts, as well as owning two craft shops, to where I am today. I have been making jewellery on and off since I was 15 and always have gone back to it as my first love. Around 17 years ago I set myself the task of learning all I could in fabricating different metals, wire wrapping and beading. I love learning new techniques and stretching the boundaries in what I do. Although my style is inspired with early Celtic work in mind it is constantly evolving. Well I hope I haven't bored you too much. Thank you for taking the time to read my short biography and i hope it makes sense lol. Please forgive my spelling and grammar I am terrible when it comes to both, yayyy for spell check :) . Thanks again for reading x
