We’re going into our annual semi-hibernation period now, we’ll be only open Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 5 until the 7th of February, when we will be open every day for a fortnight; then from the 22nd we’re open Friday to Monday 11 to 5.

Hi everyone. Sorry we haven’t been in touch for a while, things have been a bit hectic here.
Prateeka finally had her knee operation which unfortunately was not straightforward and she ended up being out of commission for months. In fact she is still easing herself back into work now. This has put an enormous strain on Mark who has had to be a carer and run a business! Which, thanks to you wonderful customers, has been crazy busy! We would like to say a big thank you to our brilliant staff, especially Karen, who has been our rock.
On a lighter note we have loads of new jewellery coming into the shop every day now. Some exciting new stones, and we’ve found a source of Moldavite,which many of you have been asking for.

Delighted to be able to offer our new range of jewellery as we reopen. For the first time we have a local stone set in silver, smooth, warm, polished black or green slate, from Lakeland quarries around Elterwater, Broughton Moor and Brathay.

We’re delighted to say we’re reopening this weekend Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th. 11am-5pm

We shall also be open the following weekend, and may remain open in the week, we’ll see how it goes.

We shall be controlling the number of people in the shop, but allowing groups to come in together.

It will be difficult to guarantee physical distancing of 2 metres, so all adults will be asked to wear face coverings, we’ll have some available at the door.

Having had a few enquiries about when we’re going to reopen, we thought we’d let you know what our plans are. We’re struggling a bit preparing the shop to comply with the anti-Covid recommendations, some of the materials we need are in short supply, and Prateeka is unable to work, as her scheduled routine operation in March was cancelled, leaving her unable to walk. We shall initially be opening at weekends, extending our hours as trade picks up; it is unlikely that we’ll manage to open this weekend, but if we can we will, and shall post on here if we do.
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
