the story behind Atelier Tiuh

Hi ! :) My name is Corina and this are the hands behind this one person business, Atelier Tiuh, a weird name, but with a nice story. When I moved in Paris, in a building at number 8, I started to create the pieces of jewellery that I always wanted to, and I felt that this is really the moment that marked my journey of a jewellery artisan. This is how my room in the building number 8 (huit in French) became my Atelier Tiuh.

In my work I tend to be looking for nature and its perfect imperfections, modern, asymmetric constructions with free, organic patterns and textures. I believe that most of the time the jewellery comes out of the forces of the nature and not from my hands. Most of my pieces are unique custom made jewelry. I originally come from a small city in Transylvania, but until 20 years old I lived in Bucharest, the little Paris how some call it. In the last year of my Art History bachelor, I decided to go to Turkey for a while and I believe that there was the starting point for me in loving jewellery and the work of an artisan. After some time, I moved in Strabourg for a project of one year, but because I still wanted to study, I moved again, but this time to Denmark for a master degree. Now here I am, in Paris, the capital of love and inspiration.
