Opening day of at Palazzo Bovara, as part of Milano Jewelry Week.

Seeing my creations exhibited here, alongside the work of more than 200 international jewellery artists, is an emotion that is difficult to put into words.

A great deal of pride, of course.

But this first day has also been about extraordinary encounters and conversations around our craftsmanship, our creative worlds, and the same passion we share for contemporary jewellery.

People from different countries, with different backgrounds, and this remarkable ability of creativity to bring us together in the same place.

And I realise just how far I have come.

1 an déjà.
Et j’ai le sentiment que tout commence seulement maintenant.

Il y a un an, jour pour jour, le 21 octobre 2025, le site de Honu Handmade Jewellery ouvrait officiellement.

Je ne savais pas où cette aventure me mènerait.

Un an plus t**d, j’écris ces mots à la veille de mon départ pour Milan.

Mes créations ont été sélectionnées par la Milano Jewelry Week, une première reconnaissance internationale qui donne aujourd’hui une saveur toute particulière à cet anniversaire.

Cette première année a aussi révélé la valeur d’un encouragement, qui compte énormément quand on construit quelque chose seule.

Le soutien vient parfois de là où on ne l’attend pas, et je sais aujourd’hui sur qui je peux compter. ✨

Merci à celles et ceux qui encouragent Honu Handmade Jewellery avec constance et sincérité depuis le début. Ils se reconnaîtront.

Today, October 20, 2026, the KALUNGA capsule is activated for the very first time.

Honu Handmade Jewellery is proud to have chosen the opening day of Milano Jewelry Week to launch its solidarity capsule and celebrate an important milestone in its journey: its participation in this international event and the recognition of its work on the contemporary jewellery scene.

For this first activation, KALUNGA brings together two Totem Luth creations, signature pieces of Honu Handmade Jewellery.

Totem Luth Italia: the colours of Italy traced in natural gemstones: tsavorites, diamonds and rubies.

Totem Luth Earrings: discreet, timeless elegance, traced in 185 natural colourless diamonds.

Two pieces of art jewellery, sculpted by hand and inspired by the leatherback turtle, the emblem of Honu Handmade Jewellery.

Choosing one of them also means making that choice part of a tangible commitment: while KALUNGA is active, 5% of the sales of these two creations will be donated to Te mana o te moana to support the protection of sea turtles.

The capsule will close at midnight on October 26.

KALUNGA - Beyond.

There is a word, in the country where I grew up, the Republic of the Congo, and in the language of the Bakongo people, for the place where the visible meets the invisible, where life touches the beyond and where the ocean becomes a passage.

That word is Kalunga.

In Kongo cosmology, Kalunga is the line that separates the world of the living from the world of the ancestors. The ocean is one of its most powerful manifestations.

Along the Congolese coast, sea turtles travel thousands of kilometres across the ocean before returning to lay their eggs where their own lives began.

To leave. To cross. To return.

This cycle echoes what connects Honu Handmade Jewellery to sea turtles: longevity, resilience and a profound connection to the ocean.

This is how the KALUNGA Capsule was born.

A solidarity capsule activated several times throughout the year, for limited periods, around selected events and unique pieces.

During each activation, 5% of the sale of every KALUNGA piece is donated to Te mana o te moana and directly allocated to the protection of sea turtles and their nesting beaches.
