Introducing Afterlight ✨🌙 💫
Two years ago, I designed a piece in the midst of an overwhelming and all consuming period of my life. Georgina Yvonne was taking off which was amazing, incredible, and everything I always dreamt of, but it came with both the highest highs and the lowest lows.
When I designed during this time, the design was chaotic because my life was chaotic. I had a lot of fear and uncertainty and I felt like this radiated through the design and I couldn’t create as freely and passionately for a while.
This year, I decided to revisit this work and reconnect with my ideas at the time - and so, the Afterlight Necklace came to be.
In this necklace, the glittering gold swirls surround the diamonds hidden diamonds, sparkle waiting to be discovered. The Afterlight design represents connecting with your previous self, now older, wiser and with a healthier and happier mindset.
I’m proud of this piece and how it has evolved over the years. I hope this feeling - reconnecting with yourself, your creativity, and your values - resonates with you too.
