but according to a recent publication from the Swiss Gemmological Institute SSEF, a new copper-bearing tourmaline discovery may be emerging in Ethiopia.

As the list of origins grows, one question becomes unavoidable:

Are we still talking about a geographic origin... or simply the finest expression of copper-induced color in tourmaline?
