Softer than soft, warmer than warm.

This cardigan jacket is cut and sewn from a black and white wool and mohair tweed that practically begs to be touched. The mohair gives it that impossible softness and it's signature halo of texture, while the tweed keeps it classic. Made to layer over everything you own, all winter long.

A little something for me this time!

I've just finished knitting the Fisherman Cardigan designed by Filcolana, in a beautifully soft 100% wool yarn.

I rarely take a break from knitting for the shop to make something for myself, so this was a real treat. Honestly, I think it's the best pattern I've ever followed. Clearly written, and free! Highly recommended. And I adore the boxy cut.

Styled here with a fabulous maxi-length bubble skirt from Helon Melon Retail, all the way from South Africa, one of my favourite places to shop for clothes. 🇿🇦

Coat time! ❄️ Lagrasse has suddenly turned cold, and this draped collar coat is exactly what the season ordered. A chunky zip at the front, 100% wool and mohair in a black and white tweed, and the softest touch you can imagine. The generous fit means it slips easily over your thickest winter sweater. Cozy!

Autumn dressing, sorted.

This asymmetric dress is cut from a fine black and white tweed, with plain black panels and trim for contrast. Uneven hem, generous drape, and it moves with you rather than against you. Shown here with black tights and boots, though it works just as well over slim trousers.

The first image was styled with Kive, an AI tool I've been enjoying working with. It lets me show you a piece on a figure (in this case, me!!) and in a setting I couldn't otherwise afford to shoot. It never changes the garment. Every image I post shows the piece exactly as it is, down to the fabric and the finish.

Autumn is here, even if the afternoons are still balmy, but there's no denying the nip in the morning air. What a wonderful day we had at the 28th International Basketry Meet at Salt, near Girona. Three more baskets to add to my collection, along with a beautiful white willow walking stick in preparation for my future elderly-ness. A day full of meeting lovely people, new and old friends, all around a passion for the art of basketry in all its glory.
