Growing up in New York City in the 1970s was an experience that would shape my fashion sense and aesthetics forever - it’s imagery reappearing in my personal style over the years. I have always been a great editor - taking objects and moments from my past and making them more modern, more current, more “me”. Eventually, I began to channel that energy into designing jewelry - into creating pieces t

hat I wanted to wear myself right now. And so I created Rush Jewelry Design, because I believe there are many others out there like me, seeking beautiful jewelry that is impeccably crafted mixing genres, materials, and sensibilities. Timeless and modern, sophisticated and fashion forward. Using only quality materials my designs are meant to be special. Each piece is created around a specific stone or material. I intend for each piece to be wearable - unique, chic, and beautiful.

I want to take a moment to repost from about the devastating loss of my mentor and friend Richard Fishman. His loss is especially difficult in this moment.

Richard, I thank you for always having my back. For teaching me all your moves, when to stand up and sometimes when to sit down. For your humor, compassion, and ability to get almost anything done. You helped me excel professionally, but more importantly you taught me utterly invaluable life lessons.

To Dana and the entire Fishman family, I hope you find some small comfort in knowing how much he meant personally to so many. I adored him and the loss is devastating. We are all better for having known him. May his memory be a blessing.
