Before this, there were only parts.

Auriform gold, each form flamed until it settles into itself. A brilliant diamond. Stones gathered, tried, set aside, returned, until nothing needed to move.

It is closer to painting than to design. Slow, and without a formula.

Then a moment I have never been able to put into words. The piece is right. It is done.

Colour first. Always.

The palette starts somewhere unexpected, embroidery, a market stall, a wall in San Miguel. Then it finds its way into stone: pink, ruby, blue, ch*****ne, set in sequence, one leading to the next.

Inspiration, translated into sapphire and gold.
