At times, it gathers and becomes depth. Elsewhere, it recedes, revealing what lies beneath.

Somewhere between intention and chance, the surface finds its own rhythm.

Some surfaces become more expressive when their limits are harder to define.
Old streets and walls tell their stories through irregular joints, softened edges and matter accumulated over time.
Here, grout does not draw a perfect line. It follows the irregular contours and settles into the pores, blurring the boundary between one piece and the next.
The format recedes. The surface continues.
