We’re back from vacation and came with something special..

This one’s a beauty: Patek Philippe Calatrava Perpetual Calendar ref. 5050R, in 18K rose gold, dating to 1996

A particularly desirable configuration for this neo-vintage reference, combining the retrograde date with a perpetual calendar — one of the defining innovations of the model.

Case in very good overall condition, dial flawless and beautifully preserved, fitted with its original alligator strap and 18K rose gold buckle.

Full set: original box and papers included

Honestly, those hour markers give us serious early-series 3970 vibes — that same restrained, elegant typography feels like a real design bridge between the two references. A fascinating link between two icons of the Patek perpetual calendar lineage.

A charming and sophisticated opportunity within a category that continues to attract strong collector interest.

SOLD.

A true collector’s piece.

Rolex Pre-Daytona Ref. 6238 with black galvanic dial.

Produced before the Daytona name appeared on the dial, the Ref. 6238 represents the final evolution of Rolex’s early chronographs and the direct predecessor to the Cosmograph Daytona. Fitted with the highly sought-after black galvanic dial, this configuration is celebrated for its rarity, timeless design, and significance in Rolex’s chronograph heritage.

An exceptional example of one of Rolex’s most sought-after Pre-Daytona references.

Vacheron Constantin Ref. 4560 — Triple Calendar, Moon Phase
18k Rose Gold · Manual-wind calibre P495 · 1940’s

Some watches are documented. Others are felt.

This Ref. 4560 is an exceptionally rare piece: a triple calendar with moon phase complication in 18k rose gold, housed in a thick stepped-lug case manufactured by Antoine Gerlach — still retaining its strong original proportions and clearly visible hallmarks, details rarely found intact today.

The original dial is preserved with its enamel graphics intact, displaying a rich, even patina that gives the watch extraordinary depth and character. The harmony between the rose gold case and the two-tone dial is something modern watchmaking simply cannot replicate.

An Extract from the Archives has been requested, further reinforcing its historical importance.

Rarity. Originality. Condition. Everything a serious collector looks for, in one exceptional example.

Not just a watch. Sculpture in motion.

Vacheron Constantin “Helm” 4709, 1950’s — case carved by C. Markowski, dramatic fancy lugs, curved lines that defy convention.

A two-tone guilloché dial, rich in texture and depth.
Preserved in remarkable original condition, hallmarks crisp, proportions intact.

A rare piece — for collectors with truly refined and unconventional taste.

We talk about a 1680 Submariner, the first gold Submariner ever produced, and discuss whether it qualifies as new old stock.

I explain that while we can’t be 100% certain it hasn’t been worn, the watch shows no scratches, perfect chamfers, an immaculate dial, and flawless tritium lume plots, making it as close to new old stock as possible.

That’s why we’d define it as Like NOS or As NOS—a watch that presents virtually as new, even if it can’t be definitively classified as true NOS.

This 18K gold Rolex Daytona ref. 6265 is about as close to time-capsule condition as it gets — an untouched case with its original factory sticker still on the caseback, a flawless champagne dial, and a full set including box, booklets, wallet and punched papers.

We’d define it as “as NOS” — not quite the real, 100% unworn, straight-out-of-the-factory thing, but about as close as you’ll find on the market today.

So where’s the line? In our latest YouTube video, we dig into the debate: what conditions a watch actually has to meet to earn the “New Old Stock” label, why the term gets thrown around (and misused) constantly in the vintage world, and how we think about pieces that fall just short of it — like this one.

Few watches capture the essence of vintage Rolex quite like this 18K Gold Datejust ref. 1601 from 1965.

Featuring a rare champagne “Doré” linen dial, an unpolished case, and an exceptionally well-preserved Jubilee bracelet with minimal stretch, this example is as honest as they come.

Offered as a complete set with its original box and guarantee papers dated 1966, it is powered by the renowned calibre 1560 automatic movement.

A remarkable survivor that embodies everything collectors look for: originality, rarity, and timeless elegance.

Now on hold.

Patek Philippe Ref. 3970 👇🏼

A rare second-series example from 1989, preserved in astonishing like-new old stock condition. Virtually unworn. Untouched case. Flawless dial. The kind of preservation collectors dream of finding.

Full set — original box, papers, wallet, booklets, crocodile strap, and 18K gold buckle. Retailed in Geneva, June 1990.

Powered by the legendary manual-winding calibre CH 27-70Q — one of the finest perpetual calendar chronograph movements ever made.
