Didn’t know this was a thing, but apparently some people don’t eat the crust on pizza or bread 🤨
I didn’t know that was an option.
Post soviet kid from the early nineties Estonia. Buckwheat porridge with sour cream and pasta with mayonnaise was it. My birthday food on my 4th birthday was meatballs. Grandma sent some minced pork. Meat was expensive in the city or you had to have connections. White bread was a luxury. I remember, when I first had pasta with tomato sauce. One of the best memories of my life. Last week was the first time, I ate pizza and left the crust, I felt my grandfather spinning in his grave. He was a veteran and spent years in the Siberian gulag eating bark and pine needles to get some vitamins and nutrients. He was religious about wasting food after that.
We are so spoiled now days, you wouldn’t believe it. Luckily my dog loves crust so it didn’t go to waste but my conscience is still guilty. Don’t waste food, you look like an ass doing this.
