How strange is it to start your mornings with a coffee and a read of your own advice? 😅

I initially created this book for other people - a collection of quotes, thoughts and little reminders from my blogs and things I’ve learnt along the way. But I quickly realised I’d accidentally created a whole book of notes to self too.

So now I read a few pages with my morning coffee, which feels a little like those letters you write to your future self - reminders of the things you already know, but sometimes need to hear again 💛

My surgeon always tells me to smile more (for practice) whenever I see him. His exact words are: “Happy, happy Sam.” 🙈 So of course, I turned that into a wearable reminder.

One of my favourite quotes from Things I’d Say - how our life path can suddenly change and we can end up down a path we hadn’t chosen. It might not be what we wanted or even what we knew we wanted. And we might not have chosen that path given the choice. But sometimes when we’re so fixed on going one way, we forget to stop and notice the beauty of going another way instead. Let go of the tight grip, of certain outcomes, and trust that just because you don’t know where you’re headed yet, doesn’t mean it won’t be wonderful when you get there 💛
