we have something to tell you… 👀

this past year we’ve been moving back & forth, adapting to unexpected turns and finding new ways to keep flowing with it all. it hasn’t always been easy.... but we’ve learned, grown, and found our way through.

and now we’ve decided 🪄
we’re moving again!
📍this time to idar-oberstein.

a small town, maybe not widely known. for jewellers though: it’s something special! 😏
historically, it became a center for gemstones thanks to its rich agate deposits. 💎 over time, skilled cutters and traders built an international reputation, and even after the local stones ran out, the town remained at the heart of the global gem trade: shaping, cutting, and working with stones from all over the world.
a true pilgrimage place for our craft. 😇

& this is where a new chapter begins for us:
Lea is starting her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewellery & Gemstones ✨
we’re full of ideas and big plans for our jewels and our brand. 🥰

we’ll also be setting up a workshop—this time for both of us to work side by side. more space, more capacity, more creating.🔥

after all this time, we’re finally building a base we’ve been longing for.

& from there, we’ll still be venturing out!
we’re planning many markets this year to meet more of you, reconnect, and share what we’re creating.

We have a new logo! 🪄

We’re navigating through many changes in our lives right now. Things turned out differently than expected — certain options are no longer possible, but new opportunities are already on the horizon.
Often life chooses a different path for you, and we’ve reached a point where it’s no longer negotiable to follow the path we initiated.

Our Instagram account Tandl started simply as a way to keep track of our pieces — a little portfolio filled with memories for us to look back on. But our love for crafting has only grown exponentially since we created this account. Little did we know, when choosing the name Tandl, that it would one day become our brand.

From our very first wire-wrapping workshop on a rainy lockdown day in a squat in Melbourne, to where we are today… what a journey.
Along the way, we took many more workshops, learned new techniques, and spent countless hours practicing at the bench. Wire wrapping, however, is still a technique we deeply love. It was the starting point of our journey, and it has stayed with us.

This is why we chose the Rolling Mill — the tool used to make wires — as part of our new logo. It’s also a very personal symbol for us. It was the first proper tool we bought after becoming victims of a robbery. We lost all our silver wire and sheets, as well as our basic tools like pliers. They took everything we owned at that point to make jewellery.

Thankfully our families supported us so we could buy our tools back and even afford a Rolling Mill eventually. We were frustrated, of course — but it only strengthened our drive to become better and better.

So here we are today.
And there are exciting things in the making. Stay tuned! Once we’re settled in our decision, we’ll share our next steps with you 🖤

To all the people we met along the way, and to everyone joining us now — we’re so grateful to have people who appreciate us and our art.

we have a busy weekend full of markets :)

on Saturday we had a great time on the flee market at Feuersee (Stuttgart West) 🔥

& Sunday we were again part of the Pop Up Event "Die kleine Welt der Wunder" organised by Lena Wunder ✨

for the next weeks we will be busy preparing for the Christmas Period! we are keen to be part of the .wouahou Christmas Market again! (Marienplatz, Stuttgart Süd)🎄
