The FPA1 is the first completely original movement architecture we have developed, and the second generation of our Core collection.
We redesigned the architecture from the ground up, reengineering the layout and developing every specification to match our own standards. It is the most honest expression of who we are as a manufacture, built to reflect exactly how we believe a movement should look and function, without carrying over decisions made for us.
The balance bridge is secured by two screws rather than a single balance c**k, hand engraved and finished the same way every visible surface on this movement is treated. The crown and winding wheel use a wolf teeth geometry, chosen to reduce friction where it matters most. The bridges are beveled and polished individually, each edge checked under the microscope before it is considered finished.
On the dial side, the balance wheel sits visible rather than hidden beneath a bridge, letting the regulating organ of the watch become part of what you actually see when you look at the time. The date works as a retrograde complication, the hand sweeping forward across the scale before returning to the start at the end of the month, integrated into the design rather than added on top of it.
The case measures 39mm in diameter with a knurled bezel and gently descending lugs. The date pusher sits integrated within the lug itself, keeping the profile clean from every angle. Case and movement were developed together as one architecture, not designed separately and brought together afterward.
What you see here is the current prototype. The final piece will carry further refinements as we continue developing it, and we look forward to sharing more as that process moves forward.
