❤️ Today is Mother’s Day is and I’d love to share a few words about my mom.
My mom’s name is Jacqueline, and she is by far one of the most impressive people in my life. She is a mother of four, runs her own successful business, supports my father in his work, and is also an essential part of Yoomee.
My mom is the person who taught me to try things fearlessly and not to be afraid of failure. I think that’s why it never felt “brave” for me to start Yoomee or to travel to Morocco and build a second life there—it always felt natural. And yes, I have you to thank for that, Mom.
My mom is the kind of person who never says no to ideas. Since I was little, she supported every idea I had, even when she already knew it might not work out. Thank you for that.
Thank you for always letting me try, and for allowing me to fail. I think that is one of the greatest gifts you’ve ever given me.
The first picture I chose was taken at the opening of Neumarkt, where my mom helped incredibly with everything—interior building, sewing, creating, and bringing it all to life.
And the second picture… you’ll understand why I chose it over the course of the year. Spoiler: something big is going to happen. In that moment, I was a little afraid, but she gave me the small push I needed.
I’m looking forward to everything that’s coming, and having you as my sparring partner, my friend, and the best mother is the most beautiful thing.
