This steel Movado Calendograf Ref. 14846, with triple date was introduced in 1938, it is powered by a manual winding movement and it exemplifies Movado’s quest for watchmaking quality.
This watch has a stainless steel case measuring 30.3 mm, excluding the original crown, and is protected by a pristine plexiglass crystal. It is complete with its original steel back which is in a very good condition and it is correctly signed and numbered. The case shows only light traces of use
At its core lies the manual-winding Caliber 470 movement, launched in 1938. This movement operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 36 hours.
The Caliber 470 was significant in Movado’s history, forming the foundation for subsequent
developments in their movement designs and estabilishing Movado`s reputation as a
manufacturer of qualitative complication watches like this calendar one..
The original glossy dial, initially black, has aged to a rich brown tone, a characteristic often
referred to as “tropicalization”; The dial is well-preserved, with clear hour markers and hands, and features an English calendar display. The dial has aged beatifully and evenly and it is very attractive, see it - www.lorologiese.com

This 1967 Universal Genève Space-Compax Ref. 885104/02 is one of the few chronographs
produced at the time with an innovative design which reflects the era& #39;s fascination with modernity
and space exploration.
It was conceived so to enhance the chronograph`s water-resistance and it draws inpiration from
the asymmetric case used in the second generation of the Polerouter Sub, which was released in
the same period
Part of the Compax series, the Space-Compax was produced between 1966 and 1968, featuring
two dial iterations, the first was black with white / silvery counters, and the second one black with
black counters.
The case has a fully signed and numbered screw-down back, to ensure an enhanced water
resistance. The reference and the serial numbers are faint but still legible. The rubber-capped
pushers, a standout feature of the Space-Compax were designed to prevent moisture and dust
infiltration while maintaining ease of use and are still in a very good condition.
The rotating aluminum black bezel, is two-directional and in an excellent condition.
These features collectively contribute to the Space-Compax& #39;s reputation as one of the more
interesting chronographs of its time.
