Chronographe Constant (9th Invention):

The Chronographe Constant is based on the, Différentiel d’Égalité a mechanism that receives its energy from the mainspring barrel and delivers it evenly to the regulating organ. An additional device is added to compensate for the torque draw – detrimental to chronometry – when the chronograph is engaged.

To achieve this, a recharging differential, controlled by the chronograph’s column wheel, rewinds a secondary spring in order to maintain a constant amplitude of the regulating organ. While this invention is already complete, it will be officially revealed later – and we wanted to offer a glimpse of what lies ahead.

After many years of development, the Tourbillon Cardan transitioned from concept to operational reality. It is based on three fundamental principles: a fast-rotating tourbillon, a fixed 30° inclined plane, and two perpendicularly tilting rings.

This construction increases angular velocity and exposes the regulating organ to a greater number of positions in less time, improving chronometric performance and extending Greubel Forsey’s research into multi-axis regulation.

The Mechanical Computer drives the QP à Équation and QP Balancier, introducing a new interpretation of calendar functions historically found in astronomical clocks. It consists of a set of coding wheels superimposed coaxially and equipped with movable programmed fingers. Double Tourbillon 30° (1st Invention): Inside a cage rotating in four minutes, a smaller cage containing the balance, spring, and escapement is inclined at an angle of 30° relative to the outer cage and completes a revolution in 60 seconds.

The combination of the 30° inclination with the different rotational speeds of the two tourbillon cages improves timekeeping by averaging positional errors caused by gravity in all usual wristwatch positions. This system delivers particularly strong results in stable positions.
