For years, the 38mm Speedmaster felt like a compromise. This new black no-date version is the first one that genuinely reads like a smaller Moonwatch: DON bezel, round subdials, a cleaner dial, box sapphire, and no date getting in the way.

It is a little tall at 14.73mm—but if the 42mm Moonwatch has always swallowed your wrist, Omega may have finally built your Speedmaster. Would you take this 38, or stick with the 42?
