A titanium masterpiece in the making

Before becoming a work of art, the titanium bridge supporting the Harmonious Oscillator begins as a blank canvas.

Crafted from Grade 5 titanium, this component requires approximately 30 hours of meticulous hand bevelling to complete its 28 inward corners. A demanding art, as titanium’s exceptional hardness makes every gesture a true challenge.

Finished with a mirror polish, this bridge becomes the foundation for an expression of craftsmanship inspired by the Swiss Jura and the Franches-Montagnes, ready to receive the soul of the region.

In 2006, Jacky Epitaux set out to preserve the watchmaking savoir-faire of the Franches-Montagnes while giving it a new expression for the 21st century. Rooted in its homeland, Rudis Sylva creates timepieces where centuries-old craftsmanship meets contemporary vision and mechanical ingenuity.

Behind the timepiece, the hand-engraved with enamel "Ultima Forsan" sundial pays tribute to the 1750 heritage of Les Bois, offering a poetic reflection on the fleeting nature of time.We engrave this philosophy on the caseback of selected Rudis Sylva timepieces, creating a tangible link between centuries of regional heritage and the present day.
