These are created by putting heat (a torch) to copper, to bring out the various colors, then sealed to stop the oxidation. I am new to this technique and have so much admiration for the masters of this craft! I do this outdoors in the summer, so should have new pieces this fall.

Q: How did you make these?
A: Cut rectangles out of a sheet of copper metal, then file the edges. Emboss the copper to give it the pattern, then fold and punch a hole through the top of both sides. Next, make the jump rings and earwires, then attach. Polish and buff, add a patina, then apply a protective wax. Voila, all done!
