After learning how to make the ribbon skirts at Brandies workshop, I was soooo eager to get home and use up some supplies I had bought to create a new skirt for our littlest to wear to school at the end of the month! This is my first ribbon skirt I’ve almost completed all on my own with the new sewing skills I have gained! ☺️

This piece - My very first ribbon skirt I’m working on, will be completed this Saturday at pt.2 of the ribbon skirt workshop in Oshawa. Hosted by one of the local makers back home on my husband’s reserve of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
I am seewww thankful for Brandie of who extended her knowledge, patience and skills in this workshop out here in Durham Region to kick start my new passion for sewing these beautiful special pieces for myself and our family. A skill that I can pass down to my daughters.

HelloOo my long lost friends!
Recently, I’ve learned a new skill I’m so excited to share… in SEWING!
Driven by a desire to want to custom create natural material clothing as well as traditional native ribbon skirts and ribbon shirts for my big family of 8+ extended family!
With the kids returning back to school, I am also working on new wood working designs for a few 3D signs as I’ve had many people ask me if I could make them some over the past while, and I cannot tell you how much I’ve missed kicking up the dust in my shop! I am excited to get things organized in the and ready to open up my wood working operation again!
