There’s something about wood that you simply can’t reproduce.
You can cut two earrings from the same design, in the same shape, at the same size — and nature still leaves her own signature on each one.
That's part of what drew me to mahogany.
Its deep brown colour has a beautiful warmth but look a little closer and you'll see the grain, markings and subtle variations that make each piece different.
For the Mahogany Daisy Symphony Oval Earrings, that natural character is paired with an intricate open daisy pattern.
And there's another reason I love using wood for a design like this:
It lets me create presence without heaviness.
You get a larger, more distinctive earring while the open design and wood keep the overall feeling light and airy.
Finished with sterling silver ear wires, they're a lovely meeting of two very different materials — warm, organic wood and cool, polished silver.
