I’ve yet to properly introduce myself here, so hello! I’m Virginia the designer & founder of . 🦋

After graduating from OCAD University in Toronto with a BFA Des. in Jewelry Design & Goldsmithing I worked in the industry for 10 years. 💎

In 2021 I decided to make a change: I began developing my own brand & I changed my day job career to Digital Marketing. 💻

It wasn’t the easy choice (it’s been a journey) but I couldn’t be happier, & I hope you’ll continue to follow along! I’ll be properly launching BABU this February with an online shop so ! 🧿

Head over to Granville Island to see these beautiful ‘Ibiza Beach Talismans’ in person!

Each talisman is hand fabricated from recycled 14K Yellow Gold, and holds a pebble I collected when on vacation in Ibiza prior to the pandemic. During the lock down, I found myself at home with ample anxiety, stress, and no outlet, like many of us. To counteract these feelings I decided to challenge myself to create a small collection of jewelry pieces, from materials I had on hand in my home studio. And thus, the ‘Ibiza Beach Talismans’ were born. 🧿
