I THOUGHT I WOULD JUST SAY HELLO AGAIN 👋🏼 🥀

it’s easy for me to go about my day on instagram and assume people know who i am, what i’m into, what i look like etc but the reality is that there are lots of ya who may not know this is (more or less) a one-cowgirl rodéo over here!

or at the very least a teeny tiny ranch of rotating farmhands? what am i prattling on about

the facts:
I make custom jewellery (surprise!), i love watching movies of almost any genre (horror/thriller and romcoms are tops though), and i’m never not on the hunt for a new trinket. any ANYTHING can be a trinket. this is why my house is a mess always. oops.

the falsities:
social media is crazy because people assume i am go go go go going all the time and my calendar is super full. while i do like to live a busy life, i also prioritize making time for myself and my friends and family.

guys. the summer sucks. i do not like the heat. I do not like the bugs. I do not like that people ascribe “beautiful weather” to the summer seasons when that is just an opinion. BRING ON THE -BER MONTHS I AM READY.

custom jewellery can be made to fit your budget and lifestyle. Don’t be afraid to ask for a quote (because you never know!) and also don’t be afraid to invest in quality pieces that cost a bit more. Those pieces are made to last!

wait i just realized that last falsity isn’t even about ME so here’s a bonus falsity: i love spiders. seems on brand right? no guys. spiders terrify me. I am literally that person who dusts spiderwebs away and then puts fake spiderwebs up. I’m sorry to all the arachnids but we cannot be friends.

i make aaaaallllll sorts of jewellery, not just rings! I still find it funny when someone asks me “do you make necklaces?” YES OF COURSE! Just because I post mainly rings doesn’t mean that’s all I do… in fact my website should give you a pretty good idea of my breadth of work. BUT ALSO I specialize in custom work which means I can make you almost anything (but please do not send me your AI generated “sketches” I beg of you - they’re never accurate and half the time can’t even be made in real life)

have you visited another.rea

over the past ten years I’ve had the pleasure of creating ombré engagement rings and wedding bands for my clients using diamonds and all sorts of gemstones. I’m always trying to sneak it in somewhere to see if my client bites 😅

whether you keep it classic with a colorless to black gradient, or make my eyes water with a colorful shift (🥲), you really can’t go wrong with choosing ombré accents.

sometimes i don’t know the significance behind a piece while i’m making it. it’s easier to assume that a necklace like this is being made “for fun”. i didn’t realize there was something bigger going on behind the scenes until my client came to pick it up and i saw the emotion in her eyes and heard the slight pauses as we talked about the necklace. often my clients share the significance with me but sometimes they don’t and that’s okay. i was just happy to make something important for them 🖤

this was truly a collaborative process between my client and I. we went back and forth sharing sketches and stone sizes and shapes because we wanted to get this specific geometric curved pendant using the stones that were available to us.

Sterling silver with lab grown gems: emerald, blue sapphire, alexandrite.

“Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day.

It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them.”

this customer came in with an image of his dog’s paw pront, which we then laser engraved on one of my classic oval signets. a rough brushed finish gives the whole piece an already-worn-in look.

although sometimes a sad interaction, i’m grateful for every memorial piece I get to make 🌈 ♥️

this ring was a very interesting project to work on! my client M had a lot of cool ideas that we needed to distill down into one ring. thankfully we had loads of time, as the design process became more collaborative.

the concept could fill a novella, but the important things we wanted to include were these particular color choices, specific numbers for each detail, a feather, an antler, a client-sourced piece of quartz, and an heirloom ingot of silver!

the center stone is that sourced quartz, but it was much bigger and a different shape than what we needed. thankfully my friend Aimee Kennedy Fine Jewelry has become QUITE the gem cutter in the last few years, and she happily recut it for me to my specifications.

all in all, i’m glad we were able to sneak in so many secret and meaningful details into what could have been a very simple engagement ring! we love a concept!

congratulations to M 👏🏼

feeling big fat NOPE energy these days, which is fitting because i just sent this signet ring out this week!

as the end of summer days get busier, i am finding that everyone is feeling a little scrambly and it’s very easy to let chaos reign.

take a second, look at the moon (or let the sun hit your fave, if you’re not a vampire like me) and ground yourself. remember things are rarely as urgent as they may feel.

also remember to be nice to the people you are asking for services from, as they (we!) are doing the very best 🌙

This one is an extra exciting piece!!!

When I saw G’s initial email in my box I literally had to stifle a scream because THIS IS MY FRIEND! While I don’t expect all my friends to choose me as their Goldsmith Supreme™️, it feels like I am being secretly knighted when it does happen.

There were several interesting design elements in this ring that I was very excited to bring to life - from the shape of the ring overall to the color and cut of the center stone, to the engraved designs on the band.

While purple sapphires (!!!) are not particuly rare, they can sometimes be tricky to find in the right hue and clarity. I happened to be at the big big big gem show in Tucson when I spotted THEEEE perfect center stone. I made a frantic long distance call to G and literally felt like an international woman of mystery doing deals with my clients in different countries 😅

The designs on the band are lifted directly from M’s work as an illustrator and graphic designer [ Meghana | Graphic Designer ] . I LOOOVE adding these little touches (and to be honest, taking liberties) to the rings I make for other creatives because I know they’d appreciate that extra touch 😉

And a little sweet cherry on top… when I was redesigning my brand and website last year, I turned to a group of talented 2D artist friends for advice about my new logo. M was one of them. Redesigning my logo felt like pulling teeeeeeth for me, but M sent me a long message with her feelings about all the drafts that really really helped clarify my vision and made me feel better about the ultimate choice. Months later, it was a total fluke that M’s ring was the VERY FIRST ring I engraved with my new logo!!! It felt like a perfect full circle moment that I didn’t know I had to keep secret for practically another year because G took his damn time popping the question (😘)

Anyway, did anyone make it this far in reading this caption? HAHA! Okay real onesssss will drop a purpe emoji in the comments!!!!

A huge congratulations to G & M 🪁

to celebrate the firstborn 🌙 thank you to my clients J&C for asking me to make them yet another milestone piece of jewellery. i love when i get to build a relationship with my clients and create a collection of jewellery for them over the course of their relationship and major life events.

this hand engraved ring was made to celebrate the birth of their first child. we chose to adorn the yellow gold band with a border detail directly inspired by .

The song on the post is also a nod to the inspiration - while chatting, my client J and I realized we may have both been at the Mucha museum in Prague almost at the same time (same month and year at least!). It was amazing to see Mucha’s work in person after loving his work for many, many years.

Thank you to J&C and congratulations again!

so that was a saturday night for the books! i made my classic DISTRESSED SIGNET for G FLIP to celebrate their recent fiery success with their song “Bed on Fire” 🔥

already a favorite of mine, I was floored to hear it in the first season of Off Campus a few months ago. i was parasocially so proud of G to see the song’s numbers climb daily and weekly 😅

just a few days before the concert, i was hit with the urge to create something special for G to commemorate this moment in their career. although they have albums of BOPS on bops, it’s so cool to see one of your fave artists become popular. G was nice enough to respond back to me when I sent pics of the ring ✨

as per usual the concert was a sweaty joyous event, with the bonus of a The Beaches (not so) surprise pop in for L*Z GO! 🍁

this signet is solid sterling silver with a handcarved G monogram, my classic distressed finish, and one of the lyrics from Bed on Fire laser engraved on the inside, all done by me 💅🏽

congrats to G FLIP and also The Beaches Off Campus for just the beginning of so many good things coming your way!!!

one of my classic signet styles adorned with a decorative monogram 🖋️

the octagon signet has a bevelled shoulders that give the whole piece a stately feel. this client chose a polished finish and a stylized greco-roman style font for the monogram. It was laser engraved by yours truly of course!
