My life has always centered around crafting and designing and being creative. After a brief stint in Microbiology early in my career (University of Manitoba B.Sc.), I taught piano for a couple of years before receiving a degree in Applied Arts at Ryerson University, and worked many years in the fashion industry as a textile artist and illustrator. Currently, I'm a full time children's toy designer
by day, and jewelry designer/knitter/soap maker/cellist/hockey player, among other things, by night. You can read my musical endeavors here:

Why Ghostship? One day, a friend and colleague of mine showed me a beautiful sea glass bracelet she made - and I immediately fell in love with the unusual gems. After many hours of beachcombing and drilling and testing out my designs, GhostShip was born. GhostShip's style reflects my love of eco friendly found objects and all things vintage and pretty. Each and every piece is a joy to design and it makes me happy that other people might treasure them too!
