Congratulations to event chairs Moez and Marissa Kassam on raising over $1,055,213 for Biblio Bash, the premier annual black-tie fundraiser for the Toronto Public Library Foundation, held at the Toronto Reference Library in support of the library’s highest-priority needs.
Biblio Bash helps fund TPL initiatives not fully covered by public funding, including literacy programs, technology lending kits, youth services, newcomers’ support, and after-school clubs.
Since 2017, this incredible event has brought together authors, business leaders, and community members to raise over $1 million annually for vital library programs.

The 21st annual UHN Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival brought guests to the streets and cafés of Paris for an unforgettable evening celebrating world-renowned chefs, exceptional wines, and the power of philanthropy.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, hosts, chefs, winemakers, and partners, this year’s Grand Cru raised an incredible $4.6 million in support of UHN’s world-class research and care.
Since its inception, Grand Cru has raised more than $174 million to advance groundbreaking medical innovation and help support the new state-of-the-art surgical tower at Toronto Western Hospital — UHN’s largest capital project to date.

Each year, the United Nations Association in Canada presents the prestigious Global Citizen Award. On November 18th, the celebration was held at the Art Gallery of Ontario, honouring for his remarkable and far-reaching philanthropic impact.

Knowing Moez personally, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing his generosity and commitment to community first-hand, and we couldn’t agree more with the UNAC’s decision to recognize him this year.

The evening was filled with inspiration and a powerful sense of unity around the shared values of service, leadership, and global citizenship. Guests heard thoughtful and moving remarks from The Honourable Ambassador Bob Rae, Rich Handler, and Aki Temiseva, CEO of United Nations Association in Canada—each offering perspectives that added depth, insight, and heart to the celebration.

🔥 BONFIRE BASH 2025 raised an incredible $2.5 million (and counting!) — enough to give 1,000 more weeks of camp to kids facing cancer or serious illness and their families. 💛

That’s 1,000 more moments of laughter, connection, and healing through happiness.
