This redesign was such a special one…

My oldest and dearest friend inherited this nearly 100-year-old ring, but the original setting sat incredibly high and wasn’t practical for daily wear. We redesigned it into a low, modern bezel that lets the Old Mine Cut diamond shine. We even managed to preserve all of the family engravings from the original ring by turning it into a wedding band.

I love giving heirlooms a second life ❤️‍🩹

I always love translating someone’s ideas into a piece that feels cohesive, but this ring was extra special because it was made for a dear friend of mine. She sent me a beautiful vision board and I tried to distill all the lovely vintage and floral details into something timeless and personal.🌷

The blue-green sapphire is a shapeshifter—ocean in one light, forest in another—and feels like it was always meant to be the center of this piece. This is one of those rings that holds a little magic. ✨
