Thundercon 2025 is now in the books. It has been a wonderful 10 years but as Q once told Picard, All good things must come to an end. Hobbychain by Design was a wonderful independent business where I was able to share my chainmaille works with others at Comic Conventions (Steel City Nerdcon, Fan Expo and Thundercon) along with various Markets and Craft shows.
To everyone who helped me make Hobbychain what it became I thank you all. Without it I would have never met Peter, Caelan and their family and friends who made the trip every year. Randy, Lisa and their family who encouraged me from year 1, Candice and The Bunnydeer Hatbox who was one of the best con table neighours any vendor could ask for. And finally to the organizers, volunteers and supporters who donate every year and keep our little convention going and growing.
Thank you to everyone who visited my table and helped make my last weekend a success like I never had in all my years.
Tears with friends were shed, hugs were given and received (pro tip, Klingons give the most warrior of hugs) and a promise to return with a new challenge. My time with Hobbychain may be over but I will be back, at least as a civilian, next year.
