Well, the car is all packed for our first day setting up at Stratford Art in the Park tomorrow. (Wednesday)
The weather looks perfect and I think this is my favourite new piece in the cases. At this moment anyway!

More stefoinite!

Stefoinite has an interesting story. Legend has it that back in the 1950s or possibly earlier, Rudy Stefoin and a couple of prospecting friends discovered this stone somewhere in Wyoming. They never revealed the location to anyone and Rudy took that information to his grave. Some have tried to work it out, but so far it remains a lost bit of prospecting history.

I managed to source some last fall (after using up all the slabs I had a decade or two ago) and have been making a few pieces with it.

Playing with balance on the ELEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS with a pendant incorporating a pottery shard by brilliant potter (and friend!) Louise McCann. The surface of the shard is quite three dimensional in contrast to the smooth polished stones.
