At Windward Flutes, we make, repair and restore wooden flutes, researching 18th and 19th century instruments, whose design and measurements are the basis for the flutes we make. Forbes' fifteen years of flutemaking at Brannen Brothers and VQ Powell honed the skills and standards applied to our flutes. Windward instrument design is informed by instruments of the "Golden Age" makers, with our own mo

difications, when improvement is attainable. Yola studied silversmithing under Jack Prip at RISD and David Hodge, Silversmith to the Queen, in Scotland, and ran her own hollow ware and jewellery business in Massachusetts.
