I had such an awesome surprise when my neighbor David and his son Graysen from Calgary popped into my antique shop. I had customers in the store and I heard the door open. I looked up and froze for a couple of seconds! Then I screamed “OH MY GOD”!! I was so delighted and surprised that they popped in while in town for a drumming competition! We have not lived in Calgary for almost 10 years now. It truly made my day!

I was sitting here on this quiet Friday in February and this lovely couple Gabriel and Alex popped in. They walked around my store and I commented to Alex how I liked how positive and enthusiastic she was about my store. She said “WHAT IS LIFE IF YOU DON’T MAXIMIZE YOUR JOY ABOUT WHIMSICAL AND STRANGE THINGS. A STORE LIKE THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT”. Well, I LOVED THAT! I had to quote her because that one sentence made my whole day!!! Then I found out Gabriel was from Boston!! I would bet money he was not from Boston because he had all but lost his accent! I told him he was not “Pahhkkin the caahh” anymore! Wicked Smaaht!! What a great couple and great quote!
