Opening it's doors in January 2015, the gallery is now home to over 50 local B.C.

Sometimes a horrible thing happens at the gallery...it's the realization that spot dusting isn't going to cut it, lol. That is the moment when I am reminded just how many amazing things live in this tiny but filled to the rafters space!

I keep thinking there is just no more space at the gallery, and then I meet the incredibly talented pen and ink artist Diane Swartzberg, see her incredible intricate and detailed work, and lo and behold, welcome Diane, lol. Originally from South Africa, Diane now resides in Coquitlam where she finds inspiration in nature and her observations of the world around her. Cards now available at Little Gypsy's, $7.95. P.S. tomorrow is Valentine's Day, now you can't say you forgot - You're welcome 🥰

Just when you think there's no more space at the gallery, along comes Laura Tisdale! Laura is an incredibly talented graphite artist residing in Clearwater, BC where she was born and raised. This collection was 3 years in the making - each of these beautiful images starts with the eyes, as Laura describes it "where the soul of the subject lives'. Available in postcards as shown, as well as 11x14 matted prints without text. Welcome Laura!

What is a poppet? A poppet is a handmade doll based in European folk magic, and were often used for healing, finding love, prosperity or happiness. These sweet hand-stitched versions are created by multidisciplinary artist Jesse Wamboldt of ...each one unique, stitched by hand with a small opening left at the side for you to add your own personal herbs, crystals, whatever you like! Each comes with a dried holly berry for the heart, a small candle, and a description of the items already in place. $39.95 each plus tax.

One thing you'll notice when you look in the cabinets here at Little Gypsy's is that each and every artist is unique in what they do, even when working in similar mediums, and that's exactly the beauty of handmade! Pictured are the works of Bella Vista Glass Art, Patricia Doyle from Vernon, beautiful cast pieces by Waters Edge Silver, Jess Phillips of Mayne Island, beautifully strung colorful bead pieces by Bea Orbegoso of Maple Ridge, juicy glass studs by Molten Glass Creations, Deb Armstrong of Port Coquitlam, and because it makes perfect sense, a needle felted bee in a vintage teacup by Wolf in Sheep’s Roving, Dana Ricci of Port Moody lives in a jewelry cabinet - don't ask why, it makes sense to me, lol.

Cindy describes herself as an amateur artist and professional beachcomber with a PhD in looking for things, lol. I say there's nothing amateur about her beautiful and whimsical ink and watercolor work! 8x10 prints on archival paper also available

SCAM ALERT - PLEASE READ THIS! There is a scam website that comes up when you search Little Gypsy's images, 'skomed', brings up 'MEC Shopping' and '2026 clearance' that has images of my work 'on clearance', along with some other images that are not mine. It is a total scam, not me...don't go into the page or click on anything if you see it, and do NOT enter any personal information. I am trying to track it down, found it entirely by accident a few minutes ago. I don't want to post a picture of the website here just in case people click on it without reading this first - if you see it please report it! I have to try and find a little humor at the skill level ...a $10 gift card is on clearance for $52...what a deal
