My favorite post of the year. Rain in the forecast and cold but at 88 years young Gramps was like a kid on Christmas for turkey opener! Glad we were able to get it done again on opener for him! My turkey season is already made…rest is just a bonus

Well the annual Quinte trip is in the books. Awesome trip this year. First day we fished an area that we usually do well...

Well the annual Quinte trip is in the books. Awesome trip this year. First day we fished an area that we usually do well with walleye in. Couldn’t find the walleye but ended up with 25 jumbo perch on the ice. I was surprised by my personal best 21.12 pb lake trout thru the ice awesome fight on light gear! Battler also pulled his personal best pike thru the ice at 8 lbs. but no walleye at all day 1. That night got chatting with Andrew from up there and he was able to point us in the right direction. He helped put us on some good fish! Day 2 we landed 17 walleye with Bradey landing his personal best walleye at 12.1 lbs and Battler his personal best at 10.1 lbs. biggest I landed was 8 lbs on the day. This morning we fished for 2 hours and landed a couple more eaters! Lot of personal bests on this trip. The end of the day me and Bradey shared the trophy as i had biggest overall fish but he had biggest overall walleye(which is what it usually is) One I look forward to every year!
