When I started, it wasn't clear to me exactly what I wanted to achieve. We began as a Brick & Mortar but after spending deeper time and connecting mental and emotional ties to other women in my industry, I quickly realized that the stories behind each item I curated brought hope to both myself and the people who purchased them.

I connected with women over mutual emotional, mental, and physical barriers in ways I never had before. When women selected pieces of jewelry and began telling me stories of the gifts they were giving to themselves or other people and the meanings behind them, it made my heart soar, and my purpose ring loud and clear. I love to hear of their experiences, challenges and triumphs.

Designing pieces of jewelry with actual people in mind, women who have inspired me in some way or another bring deep meaning to each piece that I design.

At Plain To Polished, we have loved the opportunity to help where we can. By donating to Silent Auctions to raise money for local charities, gifting to women who have had some traumatic life experiences or even just needing a little pick me up.

When I first started Plain To Polished, I had no idea how connecting with my customers would have such a deep impact on not only myself but others as well!

I am often told how certain pieces of jewelry, with a story connection really help someone who has been struggling. Sometimes it is a simple reminder when they put a simple pair of earrings on, that they need to remember to do something for themself that day. Or how a story we shared, that went with one of the pieces really resonated with them and every time they wear the piece they feel comfort, and it often serves as a reminder how important they are.

Janly, is a mix of two inspirational women, who left abusive relationships. They were always looking after everyone else and terrified to leave their spouses. They both remembered that they are worthy of love and that they needed to live their lives on their own terms. These ladies have helped others with finances to leave abusive relationships, advice, a listening ear, and always willing to help in whatever way they can.

We would not usually do a mix of two people, but this is special. One of these women helped the other, more than she will ever realize. The other is still going through the escape and slowly finding joy in life again.

These ladies have and will accomplish great things. This ring is your reminder that you can also get through anything, are worth self-love, and remember that you are worthy of love and to be treated with respect.

Even though my summer store hours aren’t long...my days are. 10pm and lasering. I am loving how these hangers are turning out! I also did 8 custom orders tonight 😍 I won’t be taking custom orders for a bit, as I have a few stores to stock up with inventory. Need to work on my video skills 😂 I wish it went this fast!!
