Conger's Jewellers was originally an independent jewellery appraisal service in Ottawa. The business began in 1981. At that time, there were very few qualified Gemologists in the city. David Conger graduated at the top of his class at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as a Graduate Gemologist, in 1980. His studies were in residence, Santa Monica, CA. Within five years, 30 of Ottawa's fine jewellery stores were offering jewellery appraisals on-site as a result of Conger's independent jewellery appraisal service. Conger's Jewellers is now a jewellery store located at Hampton Park Plaza, Carling and Kirkwood Ave. We offer custom jewellery design, custom engagement rings, redesign, jewellery repair & restoration services, as well as appraisals for insurance and estate purposes. Our focus is on quality. We like making jewellery that will stand the test of a good close-up (untouched) photograph. We strive to build relationships of trust and good will with our customers. We treat jewellery making as a craft rather than a way hack a design out for less than other jewellers can. Quality workmanship builds trusted relationships. Word of mouth has been the best advertising we ever had over 30+ years.
