Update from the Art Gallery of Welland

The Art Gallery of Welland continues to move forward with its mission of building a vibrant arts community in our city and supporting artists across the Niagara region.

After careful consideration, the Board of Directors and Advisory Committee have made the decision to cancel IGNITE: The Live & Silent Art Auction that was scheduled for April 9.

As a young organization, we want to ensure that events showcasing artists launch with the level of community participation their work deserves.

We are incredibly grateful to the artists, sponsors, and supporters who stepped forward to be part of IGNITE. The quality of work and enthusiasm from the community has been truly inspiring.

The Art Gallery of Welland continues to develop several initiatives throughout the year, including Art in the Park this summer at Chippawa Park, as well as collaborations with other cultural organizations at community events across the region.

This is just the beginning of building a vibrant arts community in Welland, and we look forward to sharing more with you in the days ahead.

Niagara Falls Juried Art Exhibition
We invite Niagara Falls' artists to take part in this year’s juried show and help showcase the vibrant creative energy that continues to shape the city's growing arts landscape.

Artists may submit a maximum of two finished works for consideration by the jury. The Art Exhibition is free to enter.

The exhibition will be held at the Exchange in the Atrium Gallery, located in the Arts Building at 5943 Sylvia Place, Niagara Falls, ON, L2G 1S9. It will run for three months.

Cash awards will be presented in the following categories:
• $500 Emerging Artist
• $1000 Mayor’s Selection
• $1000 Best in Show

I am working on something that has taken me 15 years to compile, a dream come true for me!

I spent hundreds of hours learning my craft practicing every step, learning many skills & techniques - it`s been a journey & I am grateful to be here , moving into a New Year !

Truly following my passion all the while being diagnosed with chronic illness hasn`t been the easiest .

A work in progress is slowly coming together -
