CALL FOR ARTISTS & PHOTOGRAPHERS

The Art Gallery of Welland is creating our 2027 Fundraising Calendar, and we’re looking for artists and photographers who would like to be part of it!

We are inviting artists to submit one original artwork or photograph for consideration. From the submissions received, 12 works will be selected to appear in the final calendar.

The calendar will be sold as a fundraiser in support of The Art Gallery of Welland.

WHAT SELECTED ARTISTS RECEIVE

Each selected artist will:

• Have their work featured in the 2027 Art Gallery of Welland Fundraising Calendar
• Be credited alongside their artwork
• Receive a complimentary copy of the finished calendar
• Be included in AGW’s promotion of the calendar and participating artists throughout the fundraising campaign

SUBMISSION DETAILS

• Submit one original artwork or photograph
• Photography is welcome
• All work must be original
• No AI-generated artwork will be accepted
• Artwork should be submitted in landscape format, suitable for the horizontal calendar layout
• Submit the highest-resolution image file you have available
• If submitting a painting or other physical artwork, please provide the clearest, highest-quality photograph or scan possible
• 12 works will be selected for the final calendar
• Submission does not guarantee selection

Discover the Artists of South Niagara Artists ! 🎨

Make a weekend of art, creativity and exploring the communities along Niagara’s south coast during the 2026 South Niagara Artists Studio Tour, happening Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This free, self-guided tour is a wonderful opportunity to step inside local studios, meet the artists, see where their work is created and learn more about their materials and creative processes. Visitors can explore studios throughout Fort Erie, Stevensville, Crystal Beach, Port Colborne and Wainfleet.

The 2026 tour features 23 talented artists working across a wide variety of disciplines, including painting, ceramics, stained glass, sculpture, metalsmithing, hand weaving, woodworking and woodturning. We’re also delighted to see The Art Gallery of Welland Ambassador Art By AnnMarie Vibert among this year’s participating artists!

Supporting local artists can be as simple as visiting a studio, starting a conversation, sharing their work—or finding an original piece that speaks to you.

Update from the Art Gallery of Welland

The Art Gallery of Welland continues to move forward with its mission of building a vibrant arts community in our city and supporting artists across the Niagara region.

After careful consideration, the Board of Directors and Advisory Committee have made the decision to cancel IGNITE: The Live & Silent Art Auction that was scheduled for April 9.

As a young organization, we want to ensure that events showcasing artists launch with the level of community participation their work deserves.

We are incredibly grateful to the artists, sponsors, and supporters who stepped forward to be part of IGNITE. The quality of work and enthusiasm from the community has been truly inspiring.

The Art Gallery of Welland continues to develop several initiatives throughout the year, including Art in the Park this summer at Chippawa Park, as well as collaborations with other cultural organizations at community events across the region.

This is just the beginning of building a vibrant arts community in Welland, and we look forward to sharing more with you in the days ahead.
