September birthdays come with a particularly good reason to choose colour.

Sapphires are known for their deep blue colour and excellent durability, making them a thoughtful choice for jewellery meant to be worn often and kept for years.

The pieces in this carousel show how different sapphire can feel—from a strong oval centre stone to smaller touches of blue that are easy to wear every day. Paired with diamonds, the contrast brings out the depth of the sapphire without making the piece feel overly formal.

A huge thank you to Richardson’s Jewellery for once again supporting the 11th Annual Sirens & Sapphires Gala and making sure our guests can enjoy some sweet treats to keep their energy up for the dance floor, and the entire evening! 💃✨

Meet Lindsay—a second-generation Richardson’s employee who has been helping our clients choose meaningful jewellery for six years! 💎✨

Lindsay loves working with beautiful jewellery, but the people she meets are what make her work especially rewarding. She enjoys taking the time to visit with her clients, understand what they are looking for, and help them find a piece that feels right.

She is especially drawn to the fine details: the cut of a stone, the craftsmanship of a setting, and even the tiny claws that hold everything in place. One of her favourite parts of the job is pointing out details someone may not have noticed or introducing them to a gemstone or design they haven’t seen before.

Over the years, Lindsay has helped clients celebrate engagements, weddings, anniversaries and many other special occasions. Welcoming those clients back and being part of more than one chapter in their lives is always meaningful.

Her own most treasured jewellery is a pair of gold earrings her grandparents gave her when she graduated. Now that they are gone, the earrings mean even more—they are the only pieces of jewellery she has from them.

Outside the store, Lindsay’s ideal Saturday is a quiet day at the lake with a good coffee, a book and a walk outside. She also loves to travel and has visited Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Fiji, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, England, Ireland and Cuba. Next up: Africa!
