more lino from this fall & early winter!! ✨

‘the farm’, from a photo of my great grandparent’s farm in cornwall, ontario. the farm was the place the mcdonald side of our family gathered when i was little, and i’ve gotten to reminisce and hear a lot of beautiful stories about the farm in the process of sharing this print with my fam.

here’s a wee peak at what I’ve been making lately!

linocut block printing has captured my imagination this year. here’s a look at the process for my first ever reduction print- a process where one block is carved away in stages. the block is inked and pressed at every stage, to create a layered final image. i made two colour-ways of this dino print, and each print has 5 layers of ink. this was my most adventurous print yet, and a learned a lot about inks, technique, and prep along the way.

i’ll post more about linocutting this year- and maybe there will be some prints available to bring to your homes soon!!
