Vacation day 4… bedtime barn shenanigans… of little red. How on earth did the babies get up there… ?

Slept in (till 8:00) let the birds out, fed them, made coffee and relaxed.

Then the day started, took a detour from my expectations for Monday (day 3 of vacation). There is a laundry list of chores and projects to get done, but when someone calls and needs some help… the list will still be there tomorrow.

Started my vacation with a 💥bang!

Another awesome Ladies Day at NRSGC! Last year was so fun… and this year didn’t disappoint! Weather was amazing, met some awesome woman, shot some badass fi****ms, tried some new things… and made a keychain.

Throw back to the OG crew!

The ones that started it all! We’ve had well over 100 birds come and go though the barn since then! Some went to new homes, some went to the freezer, some fell to predators, some got sick, and some are still here living their best lives!

It’s a living farm… we enjoy, we play, we have livestock and dead stock.

They all experience love.

Trading a laptop for a pitchfork isn’t exactly "relaxing," but neither is staring at a laptop in the middle of a chore ridden farm. 🚜💻

I’m officially on a farm staycation, and while I’ve successfully closed my Outlook, my "office brain" is still trying to optimize the feed storage and the garden chores are calling.

I need to find the middle ground between Full-Time Employee and Full-Time Farmer so I can actually just... be.

Help me out with some farm-specific "OOO" wisdom:

The Vibe: How do you turn a hardworking farmhouse into a sanctuary? Is it possible to ignore the mud room for five days and just light a candle? 🕯️🌾

The Rules: Do you set "chore-free" hours? How do you keep the work emails from creeping in while you're out checking the coop? 🚫📱

The Activities: What’s the "staycation" equivalent of a luxury resort? A garden side picnic? Stargazing from the truck bed without a "to-do" list? 🍷✨

I’m trying to avoid deep-cleaning the chicken coop by Tuesday morning. Drop your tips for a farm-bound office worker below! 👇
