Hi, I’m Janina — the maker behind Happy Camper Malas.

I create gemstone jewelry from my home studio in the beautiful Kootenay region of British Columbia. My designs are inspired by a love of nature and the belief that what we wear can support how we feel. There’s something incredibly grounding about connecting with the beauty and energy of natural gemstones.

I always say it’s more than just a bracelet. It’s a piece of jewelry worn with intention that can help support you throughout the day. Jewelry has the power to become a mood booster—not just because it looks beautiful, but because of how it makes you feel, and that’s the essence behind Happy Camper Malas.

When I’m not stringing gemstones, you’ll usually find me exploring the outdoors, spending time with my family, or trying to decide what to make for supper (true story😂!)

Decision fatigue is a real thing.

What should I make for supper?
What do I need to pack for tomorrow? Should we sign up for gymnastics or swimming? Did I remember everything on the grocery list?
