Hi Gems Family!

We hope this message finds you well and filled with joy. It's been far too long since our last update, and oh, what a journey it has been since then!

Back in October of 2023, we embarked on a thrilling adventure by opening Gems Cafe in the heart of Alberta. Located just 25 minutes north of Barrhead, were we live, our cozy cafe has quickly become a beloved spot in the community. The decision was spontaneous yet heartfelt, and we've poured our souls into creating a space that truly embodies the essence of Gems.

These past four months have been a whirlwind of excitement and hard work as we've worked tirelessly to shape Gems Cafe into a destination for locals and visitors alike. Rediscovering our passion for cooking has been an absolute delight, and witnessing the vibrant community that has formed around us has been incredibly rewarding.

While we've been fully engaged in the cafe's day-to-day operations, we want to assure you that Gems of Alberta, our cherished online store, remains close to our hearts. While we may not have been as active on the marketing front lately, we've been thrilled to see our community continue to grow. And we're especially excited to announce some changes on the horizon.

In the coming months, Gems of Alberta will gradually phase out online coffee retailing. However, this is only the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our journey. We're doubling down on what truly matters: our commitment to delivering the finest local coffee and tea experiences right to your doorstep.

Our coffee and tea subscription service will remain at the heart of what we do.

Additionally, we're expanding our offerings to include curated gift sets, perfect for spreading joy to your loved ones or treating yourself to a little indulgence.

But that's not all. We're also ramping up our brewing equipment sales, with a renewed focus on helping you elevate your home brewing experience. From state-of-the-art espresso machines to artisanal pour-over kits, we're dedicated to providing you with the tools you need to craft the perfect cup every time.

Furthermore, we're excited to announce our venture into new territory with office coffee programs across Alberta. Because we believe that great coffee should be enjoyed everywhere.

At Gems of Alberta, we're not just passionate about coffee and tea; we're also deeply committed to connecting with Alberta's talented craftspeople.

As we embark on this new chapter, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your continued support and enthusiasm.

This might just be the best espresso I've had.

At first, I couldn't find the red apple notes Monogram mentioned on their bag. But I kept at it, trusting Monogram's track record. Eventually, those apple hints came through, pairing perfectly with the coffee's creamy, nutty flavors.

I tested it separately with regular, oat, and almond milk. Not surprisingly, each milk brought out unique flavors, enhancing the brew in its own way. Every cappuccino variation was a treat! 🍎

I remember stepping into a printing plant for the first time....the air was heady with the intoxicating scent of fresh ink. It was in that moment, surrounded by an orchestra of humming machinery, that I knew. This was my calling.

For almost 17 years, I immersed myself in the artistry of print and application development, pouring my passion into a medium that felt more like creating vivid artwork than merely putting ink on paper. The joy that emerged doing it was unparalleled, I hadn't realized then how deeply it had imprinted itself onto my soul.

Life, in its beautiful unpredictability, then introduced me to a new love: coffee. It started as a whisper, a fleeting curiosity, but soon it turned into an unspoken dialogue, a connection that felt as familiar as a forgotten dream.

The deeper I dive into the world of coffee, the stronger the nostalgia for the smell of fresh ink grows. Every pull of an espresso shot, every waft of steam from the machine, evokes memories of my time in the printing world.

I realize now, coffee isn't just a beverage for me, it's a chapter of my life story bearing an uncanny resemblance to my beloved past. Coffee shares the same essence as ink once did for me - a medium to create, to engage, to express. I love coffee and, in an inexplicable way, coffee seems to love me back.

And so, here I am today, at Ascaso-Canada, embracing this newfound passion as if it were home. The scent of roasting beans is my new ink, and the world of espresso machines, my new press. With the same spark of enthusiasm that once ignited my love for ink, we're now gearing up to expand our espresso product line for our Gems customers.
