I wanted to pop on here and wish all the best for an amazing 2026!

2025 was quite the rollercoaster ride for so many small businesses, and mine was no exception. I’ve found an amazing role in an industry I’m really excited about, so I’ll be spending the next little while focusing on getting up to speed. My website and Etsy shop are on hold while I adjust to this exciting new normal, but I’ll be sure to let you know when the shop reopens.

I’ve been a little bit quiet here while I’ve been trying to figure out how Stoat Manor is going to be affected by the tariffs. Finding accurate information online has been difficult, but this screenshot from the Royal Mail’s website gives a pretty good rundown of how things will look as of August 29th. The key point for my shop is the last one - duties will need to be pre-paid to US customs before items enter the US.

Trying to navigate CUSMA (USMCA) to determine whether my jewelry qualifies is a quagmire, so to be safe and to avoid having shipments rejected at the border, I’ve made the difficult decision to place a hold on any orders shipping to the US until there’s more clarity.

I truly appreciate all of the support those of you south of the border have shown my business over the past couple of years and this was not a decision I made lightly. As soon as I have the information needed to navigate the situation, I’ll be sure to post an update. 🩷
