A few months ago, I received an invitation from The Lucayan Youth Organization, Ms. Dasia and Mr. Lees to be part of something I didn’t fully understand at the time. But after hearing the vision, the purpose, and the genuine passion they have for developing youth through basketball, it was an easy decision to get involved.
Attending practices, meeting the players, and watching them compete was eye-opening.
The level of talent, energy, and skill these young athletes have is incredible honestly, they’re ahead of where we were at their age.
That belief led Sierra Jewels to proudly sponsor our very first AAU team the 13U boys. From day one, I saw something special in them.
Over the Easter break, they traveled to Orlando, Florida for their tournament… and what they accomplished was nothing short of incredible to my surprise, they didn’t just compete they DOMINATED ‼️‼️and went undefeated and brought home the championship.
I couldn’t be prouder of these young men. Their hunger, focus, teamwork, and determination were on full display and it paid off.
A sincere thank you to The Lucayan Youth Organization for believing and trusting in Sierra Jewels and giving us the opportunity to be part of such an impactful organization. This is only the beginning.
