👑🇧🇸 A MOMENT I WILL FOREVER TREASURE! ❤️

Yesterday, October 28, 2026, was truly an unforgettable day!

I am deeply grateful and honoured to have had the opportunity to meet and shake hands with His Majesty King Charles III while showcasing my handcrafted Bahamian jewelry.

As a Bahamian jewelry designer, moments like these mean so much to me. What began as a passion for creating unique jewelry continues to open doors to experiences I could only have dreamed of.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Honourable Leslia Miller-Brice, Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, and her entire team for a job well done in organizing such a memorable occasion.

Thank you for providing opportunities for Bahamian artisans to showcase our creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.

I am truly proud to be a Bahamian designer, and I look forward to continuing to share my work with the world.

I’m so excited to share some of my newest creations from Chevette Williamson Jewelry.

I wanted this collection to capture the beauty of island life while still feeling elegant, sophisticated and different. I combined natural shells with pearls, mother-of-pearl, crystals, beads and touches of gold—then allowed each shell to inspire its own design.

No two pieces are exactly alike.

Each one is handcrafted by me, right here in The Bahamas. 🇧🇸

I call this collection TREASURES OF THE TIDE—because sometimes nature gives us the most beautiful starting point, and our job as artists is simply to see what it can become. ✨

These are not just souvenirs of the islands. They are wearable pieces of the islands.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIND THESE?

These round pieces are the operculum — the natural “trapdoor” that closes the opening of certain sea-snail/whelk shells.

I recently used some that I had in my collection to create these earrings, paired with pearls and sea-inspired accents, and I absolutely LOVE the result. ❤️

Does anyone collect these, or know fishermen, conch/whelk vendors or shell collectors who may have them?

I'm specifically looking for the round ones with the beautiful circular rings, in different sizes.

🌺 MORE THAN JEWELRY… IT’S ABOUT EMPOWERMENT 🌺

I want to take a moment today to celebrate this amazing young woman who works alongside me.

She came into my life when I opened my space at the mall, and from the very beginning, her attitude stood out to me. Always mannerly. Always respectful. Always willing to learn. And most importantly, Always positive.

Yesterday, while working with me at an event, I had to have a difficult conversation with her. I explained that I may have to give her some time off because of the slow season at the store on Lincoln Boulevard.

Instead of being discouraged, she looked at me with that same positive spirit and said:

“God is going to make a way for us, and we’re going to get the opportunities we need.”

That reminded me of one of the reasons I continue to do what I do.

My passion has never been only about making and selling beautiful jewelry. I love empowering young women. I love teaching them a craft, sharing what I have learned through the years, and helping them develop skills that can one day become a business, an income, and ultimately a legacy of their own.

If I can teach a young woman to create with her hands, believe in her abilities, understand business, serve customers with excellence, and eventually create opportunities for herself and others, then I have accomplished something far greater than making another sale.

This young lady reminds me that sometimes, while we think we are encouraging the next generation, they are encouraging us too. ❤️

I don't know exactly where this next chapter will take us, but I believe that the right doors will open.

We are creating jewelry, but we are also creating opportunities, confidence, skills and LEGACIES.

And that will always be a part of what I stand for. 🇧🇸✨
